How to Not Let Thanksgiving Destroy Your Lipo Results
- Posted on: Nov 15 2018
If you recently got liposuction from our Dominion Plastic Surgery office you may be dreading the holidays. Not only are the holidays full of sugary treats, but they’re also full of tempting parties with alcohol and a bunch of extra calories which will just add to your newly slim bod. Before we head into the Thanksgiving holiday, we have created a list of a few ways that you can avoid the extra calories so that you can maintain your new surgical results.
Go With Small Portions
If you really want to maintain your weight during Thanksgiving, then make sure that you only load your plate up with small portions of food. Oftentimes, you will get full just off of a small plate of food alone rather than overstuffing yourself with one big plate.
The great thing about Thanksgiving dinner is that it is filled with all sorts of delicious foods, so if you have to skip out on the dessert at the end, you’re really not missing out on too much. If you can, try to skip the dessert this Thanksgiving altogether. That extra couple of hundred calories may add to your waistline. Instead, try drinking a warm cup of herbal tea while you sit with your loved ones and they eat their dessert.
If you’re not hosting Thanksgiving at your house, it can be hard to make things as fresh and clean as possible. If you get asked to bring something to Thanksgiving dinner, try to bring something fresh like steamed green beans, Brussel sprouts, or a green salad with a light vinaigrette.
When it comes down to it, you don’t want to gain any weight after liposuction just because of a silly holiday. Although it can be tempting to fall back into old habits around Thanksgiving, use the tips listed in this article so that you don’t have to worry about the excess weight.
